UFC middleweight and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu standout, Demian Maia (14-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) is expected to meet Mark Munoz (10-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) at UFC 131.
Headlined by a heavyweight bout between Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos, UFC 131 will take place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.  Another potentially-explosive heavyweight fight between Shane Carwin and Cheick Kongo is also expected for the June 11 event.
Maia will look for his thrid straight victory after out-pointing Mario Miranda and Kendall Grove in his last two bouts.  Prior to the two victories, Maia was dominated by champion Anderson Silva in a five-round title fight that Silva recieved much criticism for due to a lack of willingness to engage Maia.  Maia's only other Octagon loss came via knockout to Nate Marquardt.
Munoz will also look to win his third straight fight.  "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" won a close-fought bout against Aaron Simpson last November, then followed that up with a first round knockout over C.B. Dollaway earlier this month.  Prior to the wins, Munoz dropped a decision to Yushin Okami at UFC on Versus 2.  His only other UFC loss also came via first-round knockout from a devestating head-kick from Matt Hamill.
Maia vs. Munoz will likely be a part of the night's main card wich will air live on pay-per-view.
